Armchair from the set “Egg” designed by I. Sternińska

The cabinet armchair from the “Egg” set was designed in the early 1970s by Irena Sternińska for the ŁAD Cooperative. This piece of furniture appears extremely rarely on the antiquarian market thanks to which it is a unique treat for collectors. The piece offered by us was made of whych elm wood, which makes it distinguished by the grain of the wood emphasizing its slender silhouette.

The armchair has undergone full carpentry and upholstery restoration. The wooden structure was finished with hard oil-wax and the seat with wool upholstery. The label of the ŁAD Cooperative has been preserved on the underside of the seat. In the photo gallery, we have also included a photo from the book “Cooperative of Artists ŁAD 1926-1996: (vol. I, Warsaw 1998). Unfortunately, we do not have the desk;).
