Chair A-587 designed by M. Sigmund
The crown jewel of collector’s items of Polish design – a chair designed by Marian Sigmund for the Bending Furniture Factory in Jasienica (today Paged Furniture S.A.) in 1957. The same model (widely known as Sig-1) can be admired at the permanent exhibition of the Design Gallery of the Polish National Museum in Warsaw.
The chair was made of bent beech wood and profiled plywood. The furniture has been in a good original condition, but despite the full carpentry and varnishing renovation, due to the age of the plywood and historical values, we suggest buying primarily for collector’s purposes and not for use.
For every piece of furniture you buy we plant a tree. Find out more.
