Table H-259 “Spider” designed by J. Halabala (dark oak veneer)
Table type H-259, or the popular “Spider”, was designed by Jindrich Halabala (master of Czechoslovak design) for UP Zavoda in Brno at the end of the 1930s. The table is an icon of Czechoslovak art deco style, but tall and slim legs made of beech wood resembling spider’s legs give it lightness characteristic of modernist furniture. Michał is a big fan of these tables (hence we have several of them on offer :)).
The offered table is finished with dark veneer dyed in dark colour, has undergone a thorough carpentry renovation and has been protected by matt varnish with increased hardness.
